Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who can work independently and as part of a team to maintain and repair processing and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at heights and possess electrical experience with packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, assemble, repair, construct, overhaul, maintain, and install various types of processing and packaging equipment, including conveying, hydraulic, and air systems.

• Monitor and maintain smooth plant operation, including production and packaging processes, support systems, and facilities.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

• Respond to service calls for any line in a timely manner.

• Independently troubleshoot equipment that requires repair or is operating below standard.

• Make timely repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime.

• Complete required and appropriate paperwork.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work with little or no supervision.

• Comfortable working at heights on ladders or scissor lifts.

• Electrical experience with packaging equipment.

• Basic knowledge of machinery repair and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial (food) equipment.

• Ability to learn welding, electrical controls, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

Work Environment

The work environment is within a food manufacturing facility that is very clean and GMP regulated. The setting is organized and fast-paced. The typical shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
