Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in civil or landscape construction. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as a Senior Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, managing multiple civil projects. Proficiency in using Procore or HCSS for cost forecasting and scheduling is essential. This position is approximately 80% office-based and 20% field-based.
Responsibilities
Provide overall management of detailed and complex construction projects.
Accountable for all aspects of a project's success from initial preconstruction planning and procurement to final completion.
Support other functional project teams in planning and executing the job, including resolving issues, managing resources, project coordination, and interfacing with client representatives regarding project progress.
Set up projects in a timely manner.
Review specifications, contracts, and drawings to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
Manage overall project performance, including scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Serve as the single point of contact for customers, establishing, maintaining, and managing customer expectations regarding project performance.
Report project status and performance data to executive management as required.
Ensure compliance with in-house Project Management and Safety Standards.
Plan, execute, monitor, control, and continuously work towards successful project completion.
Manage onsite vendors and subcontractors to ensure performance is within scope.
Maintain and complete accurate and consistent submittal logs.
Provide updates, schedules, and reports as requested.
Ensure all team members have proper safety training and equipment.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work and monitor own work to ensure quality.
Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Essential Skills
Construction knowledge/ background in civil or landscape construction (self-performing contractor ideally).
5+ years as a Senior Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager managing multiple civil projects.
Proficient in using Procore or HCSS to forecast cost and schedule.
Ability to read blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or commensurate experience.
2 years of prior experience with a heavy/civil self-perform construction company preferred.
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid/Heavy Job, BlueBeam, and Procore.
Ability to manage change orders.
Knowledge of construction safety and site management.
3+ years of related experience in civil or landscape construction.
Work Environment
This position is based in a brand new office space in Bridgewater, with hours from 8am-5pm. The office consists of over 20 people. The role includes approximately 80% office work and 20% fieldwork. The company has a huge backlog of work with high-profile clients like Port Authority, DOT, Transit, and other large clients.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $67.30/hr.
