OVERVIEW

Simpson Healthcare, an established scientific agency, has been a dedicated partner to clients in the life sciences industry for over 20 years. We are actively seeking a Client Services Manager to join our growing team within IQVIA in support of both new & ongoing client relationships.

The Client Service Manager is an integral part of our team at Simpson Healthcare. Our Client Service Managers are primarily responsible for coordination of ongoing engagements alongside the project leads in support of our clients across the life sciences.

CSMs will have the opportunity to support a range of projects within our portfolio of publication services including abstracts, manuscripts, congresses, and journal research, amongst other offerings.

In this role, you’ll have the ability to work within a dynamic, team-oriented environment focused on impacting the welfare of healthcare providers and their patients through our partnerships with clients across the healthcare industry landscape.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relations and Brand Management

  • Create and work to establish meaningful, professional relationships with client stakeholders, including gaining understanding of their individual roles, communication preferences, personal motivators, and the desired outcomes for their projects and our team.

  • Ensure Simpson’s brand is properly represented and promoted throughout client interactions, communications, and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with supervisor to partner with client stakeholders to implement strategies to ensure they are able to attain desired outcomes. Grow to become a trusted partner that client sees as knowledgeable about their business and projects.

  • Collaborate with supervisor to Identify opportunities and flag to Director possible additional services that will assist client in attaining desired outcomes.

  • Attend and ensure success and a positive experience for key client meetings, as directed by supervisor. Support day-to-day activity of Simpson’s publication program across a wide variety of therapeutic areas

  • Includes day-to-day internal facilitation of external writers, medical Directors, editors, and graphic designers

  • Demonstrate ability to support publications from project inception (kick-off) to final journal submission and publication.

  • Review content developed by writers/authors and, in collaboration with the Director of Publications and Associate Director of Publications, to assess (high-level) medical accuracy, strategic relevance, appropriate tone, and proper format.

  • Understand manuscript submission format and process. Create weekly publication program status documents for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support publication update at weekly agency meeting.

  • Create and maintain monthly best practice documents such as our publication database and congress tracker.

Project Management

  • Responsible for management of assigned projects ensuring that deliverables meet operational excellence standards (on budget, on time, error-free, on strategy, and within all relevant policies and guidelines).

  • This includes but not limited to: ICMJE, GPP, GRDP, Sunshine Act, and GPP3. Communicate effectively with other Simpson internal teams and third-party vendors regarding expectations, timelines, quality, and budgets.

  • Manage project progress and identify client requests for changes in deliverables, timing, and/or project goals.

  • Communicate all scope changes to Director and then prepare internal CCR, in accordance with process.

  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and drive internal project team adherence to PIT Crew, Basecamp, CCR, Good to Go, and Weekly client update meetings, sign off SOPs.

  • Develop strong working knowledge of managed products, disease areas, and key communication objectives. Demonstrate an ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines and balancing multiple projects.

Internal Team Communication

  • Adhere to all SOPs. Contribute to a positive work environment, embrace a team approach, openly communication.

  • Identify and flag to Director potential needed modifications and/or new systems, tools, and processes to enable team and company effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Liaise with Director, other departments, and cross-functional team members to deliver projects as needed inclusive of changes in scope, priority, timing, and/or content.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare weekly timesheet.Manage and attend relevant internal meetings, as assigned.Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in medical communications, healthcare marketing, or scientific agency.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with emphasis in Marketing, Business, or Science.

  • Strong communicator both in written and verbal forms.

  • Demonstrate a meticulous approach to working and an eye for detail.Appetite and interest for medical publication plan development, management, and execution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Flexibility, positive attitude, strong ability to multitask, and to prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company and with our partners and clients.

  • Must be efficient and skilled at using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.).

  • Experience with Basecamp or similar project management systems is preferred.

  • Extensive skills with web-conferencing tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and WebEx.

  • Great team player with a strong drive and willingness to take initiative.

  • Curiosity and aptitude for continuous thinking, learning and collaboration.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $52,700.00 - $96,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
