Actalent Electrical Manufacturing Engineer in Brewster, New York

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and manufacturing, with a passion for innovative design and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems and products, including circuit boards, wiring diagrams, and schematics

  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical investigations to identify potential design improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and industry standards

  • Develop and implement prototypes, test plans, and test procedures

  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical system failures

  • Design for manufacturability and manufacturability assessment

  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure smooth production process

  • Develop and maintain documentation of designs, testing procedures, and test results

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing engineering or related field

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electronics, and electromagnetism

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)

  • Experience with electrical testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)

  • Familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., robotics, vision systems)

  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
