Our biopharmaceutical client is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their site in Middlesex County, NJ. This is a great opportunity to join a global organization with a state-of-the-art facility!

Pay: $33-$36 per hour

Type: Contract-to-hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and support for all electrical work.

• Carry out preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical process equipment and instruments.

• Make minor modifications to equipment, including part changes and installations.

• Have a solid understanding of PLCs and control systems related to the equipment.

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns to reduce downtime.

• Collaborate with the operating department to enhance machine and process efficiency.

• Maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and cGMP standards.

• Manage inventory of electrical supplies.

• Communicate with vendors to identify and procure necessary parts.

• Adhere to safety regulations as per OSHA and other relevant agencies.

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with a preference for a diploma in the electrical or mechanical field.

• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (in a cGMP environment) focused on troubleshooting process equipment and facilities.

• An electrical license in New Jersey is preferred.

• Strong knowledge and experience in instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical systems are essential.

• Good verbal communication skills are required.

• A strong commitment and willingness to work under time and work pressure are essential.
