Staff Nurse, UHS Binghamton General Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Comp Psych Eval department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Night

Salary range:

$37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience. Staff Nurse / Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.

Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:Bachelor of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current NYS RN LicensePreferred:Professional certification in a related nursing specialtyRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

  • Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

  • Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

  • PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
