Guthrie Master Schedule Builder - Physician Services - Full Time in Binghamton, New York

Position summary: Responsible for creating and maintaining master schedules for all physicians and mid ‐ level providers on the scheduling system. Responsible for scheduling system end ‐ user support and certain system maintenance tasks. Responsible for teleminder day ‐ to ‐ day operation.

Education, license & cert: Associate degree preferred

Essential functions: Define and maintain scheduling encounter form print rules based on provider and visit type. Develop a working knowledge of the scheduling system. Enter and maintain scheduling form letters in system. Evaluate and assess master schedule requests by comparing request to current master schedule in effect. Analyze for increases or decreases in patient appointment slots. Evaluate for optimal schedule design and ease of scheduling based on schedule needs. Analyze for schedule conflicts and optimum visit type designation. Provide recommendations, when necessary, to create effective master schedules field calls from schedulers and provide application ‐ support assistance as needed. Troubleshoot problems. Work with ghs mis help desk as needed. Learn and maintain a working knowledge of master schedule system rules in order to create and make changes to physician master schedules. Apply system rules when creating or changing master schedules. Maintain scheduling dictionaries as needed.

Manage requests for background printer locations of encounter forms and pull slips. Obtain administrative approval for all requests. Perform day ‐ to ‐ day teleminder job operation. Perform system upgrade testing. Prioritize work requests based on level of importance and/or necessity. Process requests accordingly. Other duties: coordinate scheduling system implementation in new offices. Work with appropriate office manager to facilitate implementation. Work with training coordinator to arrange end ‐ user training. Ensure appropriate teleminder data elements are recorded as new physicians are entered into the scheduling system. Maintain exclusions list with ghs mis department. Meet with new physicians during orientation period to discuss and review master schedules and orient to appointment scheduling process within organization. Supervise schedule building staff. Meet with physicians, managers, schedulers, etc. To assist with schedule changes and schedule organization. Identify optimal system solutions to enhance appointment scheduling process. Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling system problems.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.37/hour
