Job descriptionResponsibilities:- Provide behavioral support and intervention to individuals with special needs- Implement behavior plans and strategies based on applied behavior analysis principles- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior support plans- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans- Monitor and track progress of individuals, adjusting interventions as needed- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary- Assist with the development and implementation of social skills training programs- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment interventionsTrain family members and other support staff to implement written programs, Evaluate and monitor progress on programs and modify as needed.Qualifications:- Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field and at least three years of experience working with children with disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, preferably in a clinical or educational setting- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques- Strong understanding of crisis intervention strategies and ability to remain calm in high-stress situations- Experience working with children or adolescents is preferredNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
