ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Scheduling and Operations Manager. This employee will be r esponsible for the daily supervision of Scheduling Manager and coordination of Per Diem staff to ensure quality care within the agency.

The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with staff and other internal/external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities.

This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule. Position is also required to be on-call.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the daily house schedules to ensure that services are provided in times of staff vacancies while simultaneously maintaining the financial integrity by the agency by reducing overtime cost.

  • Design and implement systems, which promote organizational efficiencies as well as compliance with ACLD policies, procedures and regulations

  • Supervise per diem staff, review and approve payroll, and evaluate staff performance.

  • Participate in the department on-call system only as it relates to coverage needs and secure staff coverage for vacancies to ensure the health and safety of each program.

  • Oversee the hiring process and assist in staff recruitment. Ensure staff is meeting training and development needs of each house.

  • Monitor the use of overtime and contracted temp staff utilization in all residential programs to develop and implement cost saving initiatives

  • Complete and review the weekly residential staffing hour’s utilization analyses to develop and implement strategies to effectively cover shifts at each program and manage expense budgets to ensure the fiscal integrity of the Per Diem Staffing program

  • Act as the departmental liaison with contracted temp agencies to ensure quality services and budgetary compliance.

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with other ACLD programs and departments to maximize service coordination and integration.

  • Oversee general management of Per Diem databases, including collecting and entering all data related to departmental trends.

  • Conduct training and participate in facilitating New Hire Orientation Day 2 for Adult Services

    We require:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Three years experience working in the field of human services

  • Two years supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and systems preferred
