St. Luke's University Health Network FT Lead Valet in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

The Lead Valet Parking Attendant oversees smooth operation of valet services on a routine basis, to assure a positive customer experience and consistent meeting of performance standards by all valet staff members. The Lead Attendant will also park vehicles and assist guests as needed.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides first line leadership of the valet parking service including scheduling, new employee orientation issuing keys, uniforms, and other service equipment. Maintains equipment including golf cart battery charging and adding water as required. Initiates equipment service calls as needed. Monitors supplies such as valet tickets for replenishment.
Leads the team in delivering high levels of customer service. Models appropriate dress and grooming standards. Promotes the philosophy of teamwork by leading by example.
Provides just in time feedback to inform staff if standards are not being met. Attempts to resolve conflict between associates. Refers performance matters to manager for intervention as needed.
Assesses customer vehicles for pre-existing damage before rendering service. Issues claim check in exchange for vehicle’s keys. Parks and retrieves guests’ vehicles in a safe manner to and from designated parking areas.
Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors in a friendly manner. Assists guests entering or exiting vehicles as needed. Aids customers by providing directions and other information as needed.
Keeps traffic flowing in assigned area. Notifies Security for assistance when needed.
Has ability to operate a variety of different vehicles. May transport guests in golf cart to parking areas.
Must work a minimum of three days per week, staggering days on duty to observe performance of co-workers.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Standing and walking for up to eight (8) hour/day, 50 minutes at a time. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and walking with objects weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance. Frequent squatting and kneeling. Occasionally stooping, bending, crouching and reaching above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, color vision and depth perception.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a good driving record and maintain a valid Pennsylvania/New Jersey Driver's License. Experience with mitigating conflict and basic computing skills preferred. Valet parking and leadership experience preferred.
