Full-time; 40 hours/week; Monday to Friday 4:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

$15-$16/hour, based on experience

Position Overview: Are you passionate about baking and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment? We are seeking a dedicated Baker/Cake Depositor to join our team to produce high-volume baked goods while maintaining Bethel Bakery's quality standards. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Operating commercial bakery equipment; 140-quart mixer to assist with mixing batters, icings, and other ingredients; dough sheeter, automatic batter depositor, cookie depositor, dough divider, and pie press.
  • Monitoring inventory to assist with daily production planning.
  • Preparing products for baking (cake layers, cupcakes, sheet cakes, etc.) by filling, scooping, or using an automatic depositor.
  • Assisting with the operation of and product flow through rotating and double rack ovens.
  • Condensing cookies, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Ensuring baked goods meet quality standards for appearance, weight, texture, and size.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean work area to meet health and safety standards.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and presentation skills.
  • Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old, and pass a drug and background screening.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; previous scratch bakery experience or baking/pastry education is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Ability to stand and actively move throughout your shift, lift and carry full trays of products weighing up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, reach, crouch, kneel, and push/pull equipment and products weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Comfortable working around varying temperatures, including heat from ovens and cold from coolers/freezers.
