Penn Asian Senior Services Home Health Aide - Bucks County in Bensalem, Pennsylvania

Penn Asian Senior Services (PASSi) is seeking compassionate, bilingual Home Health Aides (HHAs) who speak English and one of the following: Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, Mandarin, Chinese, or Gujarati. Home Health Aides will provide care for seniors living in Bensalem, Feasterville, and Trevose areas.

As a HHA you have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a senior by heling them to stay in their home, and avoid moving to a nursing home, by assisting them with activities of daily living including cooking, laundry, showering, dressing, and shopping. 

As a Home Health Aide you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care, including oral hygiene, skin, hair and nail care, and shaving male clients.
  • Assisting with positioning clients to maintain proper body alignment and skin integrity.
  • Assisting client with medications which are ordi­narily self-administered.
  • Helping patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
  • Taking and recording blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration if required in care plan.
  • Assisting client to achieve maximum self­-reliance through relearning and modifying activities of daily living.
  • Planning, shopping for, and preparing nutritious meals, including special diets when required.
  • Helping with general light housekeeping.
  • Promoting mental alertness of client through conver­sation and purposeful activity.
  • Promptly reports changes in the client's condition, behavior or appearance to the Supervising Nurse.
  • Completing appropriate records on a daily basis in accordance with Agency policy and procedure
  • Attending in-service programs as sched­uled
