Eaton Corporation Maintenance Manager in Beaver, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager. This position is located at our Beaver, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of 19 workers of various trades in a union environment. The Manager will be responsible for coordinating, and supporting all maintenance and facilities needs for the plant and equipment including all manufacturing process. This position will interface directly with all levels of the plant from hourly to management. In this role, you will:

  • Establish the direction and focus of the maintenance team.

  • Execute preventative maintenance programs for manufacturing/facility on both existing and new equipment per schedule.

  • Support site in achieving EHS and 5S targets & objectives.

  • Support MESH champions and objectives.

  • Supervise outside contractors when necessary.

  • Manage the spending within the monthly expense budget for maintenance and wastewater treatment activities.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and manage prompt response to equipment downtime issues.

  • Be responsible for overtime scheduling of the maintenance and custodial teams.

  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods, design and performance of equipment and processes.

  • Manage the work performance of team members and provides feedback.

  • Drive safe practices daily.

  • Oversee any 3rd party maintenance contractors who perform project work at the facilities/grounds.

  • Manage the team in accordance with the collectively bargained agreement while being a steward of Eaton’s culture initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, operations and/or facilities management

  • Experience managing/supervising a team of people

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited institution

  • Experience managing maintenance workers within a unionized facility in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with the concept of preventative maintenance

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM principles

  • Project Management experience

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge in electrical, mechanical, equipment, machines, buildings

  • Knowledge or experience in structural and architectural designs

  • Demonstrated experience with safety programs

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and team building acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to work with little direction and effectively operate in a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to assist manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to resolve equipment and production issues

  • Ability to interpret, suggest and resolve installation issues with multiple and varied electrical contractors or internal resources
