Key Responsibilities: Safe Operation: Operate asphalt trucks, dump trucks, and other related equipment safely and efficiently. Material Transport: Transport asphalt, aggregates (crushed rock, sand, gravel), water, and other materials to construction sites. Loading and Unloading: Ensure materials are loaded correctly onto the truck and unloaded safely at the designated location. Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on the truck and equipment. Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working order. Log Keeping: Maintain accurate driver logs and report any issues or incidents promptly. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Assisting with Labor: May be required to assist with other tasks on the job site, such as shoveling or raking. Route Planning: Plan routes to ensure timely deliveries and avoid traffic delays. Report Issues: Report any defects, accidents, or violations immediately. Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the truck and equipment. Follow Directions: Follow dispatcher directions of daily tasks and meet expectations for each project.
