As the Senior Manager of Marketing Activation - Local & Segments - your role within the CMO organization, will support a newly formed division of the Verizon Consumer Group focused on key growth segments as well as priority local markets throughout the US. Those key segments include but are not limited to: Latinos, African Americans, Young Adults and more. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a highly matrixed organization and driving growth to meet our business objectives. It will be critical for this individual to create great relationships through the org, have a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to and help to cement the thriving culture of our organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support, develop and execute consumer marketing activation strategies to help reach marketing and business goals, specifically focusing on local markets and key segments.

  • Create a vision and strategic plan that yearly and quarterly local GTM strategies and narratives that complement national efforts to deliver on key business/marketing objectives.

  • Develop a deep understanding of and ability to communicate rationale behind localized activation tactics and their corresponding messaging as it pertains to driving traffic in specific markets.

  • Manage end-to-end development of marketing communications plans, from strategy & brief creation to go-to-market tactical plans.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and driving actions with agility.

  • Fully accountable to marketing performance kpis and business results, with an eye on continual optimization to improve impact and efficiencies.

  • Work cross functionally and with multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment for successful marketing initiatives.

  • Identifying patterns and establishing best practices and processes for future efforts.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Bilingual: Spanish & English

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills
  • Understanding regional and local market dynamics

  • Have worked with key segments (including Latino & African American)

  • The ability to be agile and innovative with actions to improve our speed to and impact in market

  • Executive presence - ability to present, sell and stakeholder with poise & professional maturity

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $212,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
