Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the facility and processing equipment, as well as maintaining material handling and rolling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and install equipment and machinery using electrical schematics.

  • Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, and refrigeration systems.

  • Knowledge of motor components and controls.

  • Install conduit and related fittings.

  • Size wire for proper applications.

  • Basic knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and related components.

  • Troubleshoot and repair simple hydraulic systems and follow hydraulic prints.

  • Practical knowledge of pneumatic systems and related controls.

  • Practical maintenance welding ability in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas).

  • Maintain plant facility, grounds, structure, and related equipment.

  • Maintain and repair powered and non-powered rolling equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of small equipment per instructions.

  • Install or repair copper or steel pipe and related fittings.

  • Knowledge of refrigeration and related equipment.

  • Maintain proper levels of housekeeping and follow all safety rules.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.

  • Own hand tools and steel-toed boots.

  • Technological skills with knowledge of MP2 and SAP, 6-week forecast (Excel), and Microsoft Office products.

  • Excellent organizational, detail, and follow-up skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, pipe fitting, and refrigeration.

Work Environment

This role operates Monday-Friday from 11pm-7:30am. Attendance is key to success and is closely monitored during the first 60 days. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baldwinsville, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
