Adecco US, Inc. Facilities Manager in Avenel, New Jersey

Position: Facilities Manager

Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F. Must be somewhat flexible for off hours, including Saturday availability

Summary:

The Facilities Manager oversees all programs related to maintenance and repairs throughout the company. Coordinate capital projects installation ensuring deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be hands-on with facility occurrences such as plumbing, electrical, etc

  • Manage projects and employees in the Facilities Maintenance department

  • Use project management principles to ensure that resources are available to meet the job schedule

  • Participate in and support annual strategic planning and productivity project initiatives

  • Monitor and control monthly costs to the plan

  • Optimize business processes and ensure compliance

  • Maintain strong relationships with service vendors

Facilities & Chemical Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Create capital expenditure requests to update, replace equipment and infrastructure as needed

  • Ensure the facility including infrastructure and machines are in proper working order

  • Develop overarching preventative maintenance system resulting in minimizing emergencies

  • Communicate important issues and concerns to operations management in a timely manner

  • Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of the overall facility and grounds utilizing strong root cause and corrective action principles

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S Person

  • High school diploma, Bachelors a plus

  • Demonstrated ability in Facilities management with 5 + years experience

  • 5+ years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or plant operations within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing contractors, and vendors.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems and electrical systems

  • Hands-on experience in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO, etc.).

  • Knowledge of quality specifications, tools, and equipment

  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft office

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a positive, proactive attitude with a sense of urgency; follows through and gets things done with minimal guidance while adhering to company policy and guidelines

  • Excellent communication skills, and responsiveness

  • Ability to guide the successful completion of programs and projects to upgrade facility

  • Knowledge of facility and maintenance requirements

  • Understanding of regulatory rules and safety requirements

International Trade Compliance Requirements

  • Due to the potential exposure to ITAR-controlled data and export control regulations, the applicant in this role must be a qualified U.S. person as designated under INA, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) or be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Essential Mental/ Physical Demands:

  • Standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to list and carry up to 50lbs

  • Must be able to climb ladders/stairs

  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite with occasional local travel to customers or supplier for drop off or pick up

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
