Position Summary:
The Customer Relations and Inside Sales Representative is a key member of our Wholesale team and plays a vital role in delivering top-notch customer service to our Wholesale customers. This position is responsible for meeting operational and logistical deadlines to support our extensive network of Full-line and Seasonal independent customers. In addition to customer service duties, this role also involves inside sales responsibilities for the Patience Brewster and Candles/Accessories portfolio. This includes focusing on sales tactics annual growth strategies. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate corporate strategies and manage and grow the MacKenzie-Child's independent retailer business.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
Customer Service (60%):
* Support all aspects of account needs, working independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
* Ensure timely receipt of order confirmations and provide tracking information for shipments and RMAs.
* Coordinate sample distribution to accounts for advertising purposes.
* Develop relationships with clients requiring help and servicing to each account.
* Manage relationships with accounts while adhering to MacKenzie-Childs guidelines to ensure general business operations are met.
* Respond promptly to emails and phone calls from customers.
* Provide sales feedback and attend Atlanta Market twice a year.
* Assist with pre-market preparations.
* Collaborate closely with the Department Manager and Sales Team to deliver the best possible customer service.
Inside Sales Territory (40%):
* Prospect, build and nurture a strong and profitable customer relationships with store owners, buyers, and managers for the Patience Brewster and Candle/Accessories portfolio.
* Promote MacKenzie-Childs product portfolio to existing customer base.
* Secure placement, displays, and promotional programs with retailers to drive sell-through.
* Develop and execute a detailed sales call plan w/ effective communication via email, telephone, and mail to execute sales objectives.
- Email business updates and sales objectives to accounts with follow-up telephone calls within 5 days.
* Keep customers informed about promotional offerings and new items.
* Offer solutions to customers to enhance their retail business.
- Provide tools, including POP and training materials, to accounts (set up and execute the process).
* Maintain account activity levels to achieve annual goals.
* Maintain a database of contacts and an accurate phone log, including calls placed and call results.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Atlanta Market - supports "Go to Market" (2x /year) activities and all aspects of preparation and supports all Wholesale team Selling initiatives including but not limited to:
- Assist with Market Appointments and putting together linesheet binders for Market
- Manages the market samples for Inside Sales accounts and Nu-Order line sheets for Patience Brewster/Glow (note - this is a group effort)
* Pre-Market - supports all Sales Manager's meetings for those retailers visiting Aurora
* Samples - Coordinates sample distribution to accounts for advertising purposes.
* Asset Management - assists accounts with pulling and sharing content (images, videos, etc) from asset library where applicable.
* Pricing and Purchase Orders:
* Supports Sales Manager upon request for Order Tracking, Backorders and On-hands - checking stock on items if an account should ask
* Reviews all orders (NuORDER) multiple times a day and troubleshoots where necessary
* Acts as liaison between Sales Team and warehouse to address any PO updates or issues brought about by Independent accounts.
- PO Extensions - warehouse should let customer service know when they need an extension and Customer Relations should email account and ask for the extension (CC: Sales Manager)
- PO Edits - when EDI Orders come through with incorrect costing or delivery dates or ANY PO changes... Customer Relations should email the account with corrections needed (CC: Sales Manager)
* Ensures timely receipt of Purchase Orders (EDI and NuOrder) and collaborates with warehouse/operations teams to process shipments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED
* Data entry
* Microsoft applications
Special Requirements:
* Mandatory travel to tradeshows semi-annually
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Computer proficiency includes word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, NuOrder, Brandfolder and Netsuite, etc.
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
* Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
* Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
* Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others.
Environmental Conditions:
* Work is performed in a typical office environment where there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
