DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Flexible Work Arrangement - Hybrid
The Sr. (Lead) Analyst/Engineer will support the Day Ahead Market Operations Department mission by operating and supporting the Day Ahead and Real Time Energy Market.
Essential Functions: * Ability to understand the operational and technical aspects of PJM's Markets including Day-Ahead Market, Fixed Transmission Right Auction, Real-Time Locational Marginal Price calculation, and Ancillary Services Market. * Ability to perform power system analysis and document results. * Ability to test software application enhancements and document results. * Ability to provide customer support and training. * Provide a high-level of analytical analysis and act as a problem solver, proactively addressing business needs and requirements with innovative, creative, and cost-effective solutions. * Ability to develop new technical software tools and enhance existing applications to support Market Operations. * Ability to work with other members of the Market Services Division, System Operations Division, and Planning Division in problem-solving and streamlining processes. * Willingness to work some weekends and holidays running the Day-Ahead software.
Characteristics & Qualifications: Required: * BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience * Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail * Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment * Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis * Experience using verbal and written communications skills * Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
Preferred: * MS, Engineering * Programing experience in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and or C Sharp (C#) * Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions * Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
