Globus Medical, Inc. Desktop Operations Technician in Audubon, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The Desktop Operations Technician is focused on global technologies that affect the workspace, the extended workspace, and the subsequent user experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Technical Support: Provide capable and timely L3 Support for all workspace issues

  • System Maintenance and enhancement: Ownership and continuous improvement of all workspace technologies including but not limited to the desktop image, birthright applications, Microsoft applications, and VPN technologies

  • Knowledge building: Stays abreast of all current and next generation workspace technologies involving but not limited to operating systems, communications and collaborations, CPU technology, endpoint management

  • UX Improvement: Enhancing the user experience via UX design thinking

  • Extended workspace support & enhancement: Ownership and continuous improvement of extended workspace technologies including multifunction printers, warehouse scanners, mobile device management, A/V system, and conference room technologies

  • Project Collaboration: Works closely with Technical Operations, Cybersecurity, and Service Operations to ensure the workspace is well integrated to project plans.

  • Individual projects: Ability to track and prioritize tasks and milestones to complete focused projects

  • Group projects: Ability to work with a project manager or project lead to fulfill tasks as required and provide necessary documentation.

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT Service Management especially Continuous Process Improvements

  • Microsoft Office Suite and business applications such as ERP and CRM systems

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach toidentifying and resolving issues

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced businessenvironment
