IBM Corporation Software Development Manager in Armonk, New York

Software Development Manager, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 90% telecommuting permitted): Lead a distributed team of highly skilled, software developers and architects who have global responsibility. Manage a technical team as a people manager including team building, and career planning, and performance feedback. Manage financial planning, spend, and budget tracking. Work effectively cross-geos in collaboration with other senior leaders, stakeholders, partners, and other support functions. Partner across business units for the successful alignment and execution of our strategic vision, i.e., CISO, governance & compliance, IT support, developer experience, requirements, dependencies, and assumptions necessary to develop project charter and project plans. Plan and manage the project scope, schedule, budget and fulfill objectives and satisfy project requirements and strategy. Provide technical leadership for solution design and delivery. Manage software release planning and delivery, in alignment with priorities and roadmaps. Proactively identify and mitigate project risk and expeditiously resolve project issues. Continuous focus on improving applications; proactively identify issues opportunities for improvement. Help resolve blockers and coordinate dependencies. Direct resources to diagnose and resolve complex system, application software, security and related problems that impact system and availability. Provide support for production escalations and problem resolution for users. Demonstrate proven business controls, audit ready and compliance posture at both the infrastructure and application level. Manage and administrate application infrastructure and services (e.g. cloud environments, resources, monitoring, alerting, etc.). Utilize Cybersecurity Concepts, Product Ownership, Agile Program Management Principles, Red Hat OpenShift/ Hybrid Cloud, Python, Django, PostgressDB, and DevSecOps methodology. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, Analyst or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Cybersecurity Concepts, Product Ownership, Agile Program Management Principles, Red Hat OpenShift/ Hybrid Cloud, Python, Django, PostgressDB, and DevSecOps methodology. $231,576.84 - $289,200.00 per year.
