IBM Corporation Senior System Engineer (ServiceNow) in Armonk, New York

Senior System Engineer (ServiceNow), IBM Corporation, Armonk, New York and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Develop and customize ServiceNow. Collect requirements and write implementation plans, code and execute plans, use scripting tools to automate routine tasks being done in the ServiceNow platform. Research and deploy new releases, patches and/or enhancements into the ServiceNow environment. Configure and implement ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM module) together with ticketing, workflow, reporting, service portals, and other platform features to build next generation solutions for clients. Configure scheduled jobs which are used to automate the process based on some condition at a fix schedule including auto closure of old open records, send email reminder to the ServiceNow users for their pending tasks, killing background stuck or long running jobs scripts, reading and processing email events. Work on Intelligent Automation services to bring in process automation and orchestration capabilities as needed/demanded by Client solution platforms built in ServiceNow. Use Java and to develop and maintain modules of Service Now such as Incident Management, Change Management, Request Management, Release Management. Use strong technical knowledge and expertise to integrate Intelligent Applications in ServiceNow Platform. Maintain high quality of codes on both server-side and client-side, resulting good control and easy debugging during performance-related and functional issues or defects. Be proactively involved in testing for all modules including Incident management, change management, Problem management, HR management, Request management to upgrade ServiceNow to New version from current version. Prepare all client facing and internal deliverables that are technology related and up-skills to keep current with latest certifications. Perform UI configuration, workflow creation, development of required client specific reporting and Integration with External systems. Utilize at least eight (8) of the following 15 tools/skills: ServiceNow, IT Service Management (ITSM), Java , JavaScript, XML, HTML, GlideScript, DB2, Unix, web services integration (SOAP and REST), CSS, SQL, Custom Application Development and Performance Analytics, PHP, Agile/Scrum methodology. Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a ServiceNow Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing at least eight (8) of the following 15 tools/skills: ServiceNow, IT Service Management (ITSM), Java , JavaScript, XML, HTML, GlideScript, DB2, Unix, web services integration (SOAP and REST), CSS, SQL, Custom Application Development and Performance Analytics, PHP, Agile/Scrum methodology. $169,229 to $194,900 per year.
