General Description: Production Operators at Prestolite may be required to run machines, assemble components, final assemble product and/or test parts. Production operators may be assigned one or more of these jobs during any shift.

Job duties include, but are not limited to: The person filling this job will need to be flexible to move from job to job where some will be standing, others sitting for various lengths of time depending on schedules. Some tasks will require lifting approximately 20 lbs. frequently. Equipment to be used are solder irons and other solder equipment, air drivers, potting equipment, electrical pass-fail test equipment, etc. The person must be able to work with chemicals commonly found in factory production such as solder, flux, epoxy, adhesives, silastics, etc. The person will maintain required charts and graphs, become familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), read and sign process specifications pertaining to their work assignments, keep their work stations and surrounding areas neat and clean, wear safety glasses, safety shoes and other required safety equipment Must have good attendance and be able to work overtime if required.

Probationary Period: All Prestolite employees are measured on punctuality, attendance, safety, quality, productivity and teamwork. During the 1st 90 calendar days of employment, deficiency of any kind in any of the measurements may result in immediate termination. After 90 days the employee will be subject to regular Prestolite policies.
