Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MAZAK CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating MAZAK CNC machines, ensuring high precision and quality of finished products. This position requires a deep understanding of CNC machine operations, blueprint reading, and programming techniques specific to MAZAK systems, such as Mazatrol or similar software.
Key Responsibilities
· CNC Programming:
o Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for MAZAK machines (e.g., Mazak Vertical/Horizontal Machining Centers, CNC Lathes, etc.).
o Create and modify G-code, Mazatrol, and other specialized programming formats based on technical drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.
o Perform in-depth programming for complex parts and tooling, ensuring optimal performance and part quality.
· Machine Setup & Operation:
o Set up MAZAK CNC machines with the correct tooling, fixtures, and materials.
o Perform machine calibrations, tool offsets, and test runs to verify the correctness of programs.
o Monitor machine operations, adjusting programs as needed to optimize speed, quality, and performance.
· Quality Control:
o Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
o Ensure compliance with quality control standards and company procedures.
· Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tooling specifications, and program changes.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent (required).
· Experience:
o minimum of 3-5 years of experience programming and operating MAZAK CNC machines.
o Proficiency in Mazatrol programming language or similar MAZAK CNC software.
o Familiarity with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
· Skills & Abilities:
o Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
o Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
o Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
