DESCRIPTION OF WORK In accordance with DMVA safety rules, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical power distribution systems and associated equipment not to exceed 23,000 volts. These systems include electrical machinery, devices, and allied equipment throughout the buildings on the grounds of Fort Indiantown Gap. You will use appropriate tools of the trade to install and maintain transformers, switchgears, and emergency standby generators; repair and replace underground cables; and identify and troubleshoot any problem areas. Your duties will also include inspecting and maintaining ventilation fans, fire alarms, traffic control lights and runway lighting systems. At times, you may need to operate a lift or bucket truck to make electrical repairs on building and parking lot lighting systems that cannot be reached with a ladder.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch Overtime as needed Work schedule may change based on operational needs. This is an essential position. You will be required to work during emergencies and office closings. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Formal training (high school or vocational program, apprenticeship, or post-high school technical program) in the electrical trade. Licensure as a journey electrician or master electrician. Experience working with generators. Previous experience working from construction sketches, diagrams, and/or blueprints in the electrical trade. Legal Requirement:
