The Recruiter will become familiar with every business area and be responsible for initiating and managing the job applicant and hiring process, to include sourcing and interviewing candidates, and providing effective, ongoing communications with all departments.  The position may also assist with targeted training initiatives.

Pay: $18-$24 per hour based on experience 

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with managers to assess ongoing hiring needs and post open positions

  • Review and assess competencies related to required job traits, skills, education and/or experience

  • Conduct and document friendly, professional phone screens with selected applicants

  • Rate and refer qualified candidates to respective managers; follow up as needed

  • Coordinate and attend college job fairs, career fairs, and related community events to increase visibility and build relationships

  • Work with Marketing Department to coordinate advertising needed to market recruiting events

  • Assist and/or provide backup to the HR Manager for onboarding newly hired employees to include: employee handbook overview, benefits review, and employment documents

  • Participate in New Employee Orientation training

  • Exercise effective communication and follow up with managers to ensure timely compliance in processing applicants through the automated applicant tracking system

  • Conduct exit interviews and summarize results

  • Oversee the applicant assessment process

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in a Recruiting role

  • Bachelor's degree desirable

  • Knowledge of general HR principles and hiring/onboarding practices

  • Ability to travel to store locations and recruitment sites

  • Have a professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates attention to detail, excellent listening skills, and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions

  • Works successfully both alone and in a team setting

  • Ability to exhibit discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and to earn trust of others

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point, and data entry
