Pharmacy Technician I
Full-time, Night Shift, 3 nights on, 1 off, 3 nights on, 7 days off. Hours are 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Rotating Weekends and Holidays.

We now offer a Night Program – if qualified, you could receive an additional $2 per hour on top of our current off-shift differential ($1.60). Must have 6 months of experience to qualify and must commit to work all full-time shifts as night shifts.
Purpose:
Responsible for properly storing and distributing drugs; receives and accounts for drugs from all vendors. Delivers drugs to patient care and other areas; picks up drug returns and applicable paperwork; and returns all returned unit-dose products to proper receipts. Responsible for filling patient drug boxes, floor stock orders, and automated dispensing cabinets. Assists Pharmacists as directed. Maintains daily reports.
Responsibilities:
Accurately fills floor stock requests.
Prepare correct labeling for bulk drugs.
Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.
Basic understanding of the concept of physical stability and chemical stability as it relates to parenteral pharmaceuticals.
Correctly interpret physician orders and can distinguish between pharmaceutical orders, laboratory tests, radiology, nursing, and other orders.
Perform monthly medication storage area inspections.
Selects drugs from stock in the proper dose, dosage form, and quantity as ordered by a physician under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Understands microbial contamination and exhibits Aseptic Technique while preparing sterile pharmaceutical products.
Repackages drugs into a unit-of-use container.
Education and Formal Training Required: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience Required: Prefer previous pharmacy experience.
Must be familiar with a typewriter keyboard and demonstrate the ability to produce a neat, accurate, and legible copy.
Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the computerized Pharmacy Information Systems utilized.
