Robert Half Purchasing Assistant in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is in search of a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Coordinator. This role encompasses two key functions: purchase order maintenance/data entry and assisting with the capture of documentation for input into our document management system. While experience with ERP or Document Management Systems is a plus, we welcome candidates with strong office, people, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Assist in processing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

  • Data Entry: Accurately input purchase orders and related data into our systems.

  • Order Verification: Verify purchase order details to ensure alignment with procurement requirements.

  • Communication: Collaborate with internal departments to confirm order specifications and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Document Capture: Assist in capturing and organizing documentation for input into our document management system.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documents before input.

  • Document Retrieval: Retrieve and provide requested documents as needed.

  • Organization: Maintain an organized system for document storage and retrieval.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role.

  • Good office skills, including proficiency with office software and equipment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

  • A strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.

  • Experience with ERP or Document Management Systems (a plus, but not necessary).
