As a Controlled Environment Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Sales & Marketing team. You will have the opportunity to work with an unmatched depth of capabilities and contribute to solving some of the world's toughest challenges. With a broad customer base spanning research, clinical, and commercial production, you will have the chance to make a significant impact and grow both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple research sales representatives by providing safety-specific information, technical recommendations, and product support

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned territory, seeking out opportunities for growth and networking

  • Implement sales strategies and plans to expand business within the territory, ensuring the achievement of sales objectives

  • Collaborate with purchasing and management to perform hazard assessments, make product recommendations, and provide product training on occupational health and safety equipment

  • Stay informed about competitor and industry activity, introducing new products and services to customers

  • Manage pricing within the territory to ensure profitability

  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for territory management

  • Effectively communicate any customer issues or potential problems to the supervisor

  • Consult with customers on supply and price trends, assisting in inventory control

  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a technical background in safety, EH&S, environmental science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in safety products or controlled environment products, or lab experience

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet usage

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines

  • Strong industry, pharmaceutical, and science background preferred

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations
