Broadview FCU Facility Logistics Coordinator in Albany, New York

Overview of Your Role

The Facilities Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating logistics operations, including mailroom, shipping & receiving, and warehousing activities. This position supports business functions, promotes an environment of hospitality, and ensures efficient daily operations. The coordinator will also be responsible for handling confidential documents discretely.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Mailroom

  • Coordinate all mailroom functions, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Deliver mail and packages via UPS, FedEx, and USPS to designated locations.

  • Manage mailroom supplies and place resupply orders as needed.

Shipping and Receiving

  • Coordinate the receiving, verification, and processing of inbound and outbound packages and aggregate shipments.

  • Manage the handling of incorrectly routed or damaged shipments, track missing orders, and alert leadership of discrepancies.

  • Ensure shipping and receiving actions comply with company standards and procedures.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain and update inventory records, reports, and systems of record.

  • Perform warehousing operations, review invoices for accuracy, organize stock rooms/warehouses, and move materials to appropriate storage locations.

  • Process material requisitions, adjust inventory levels, and fulfill departmental requisitions.

  • Conduct stock counts of consumables and annual inventories for business units.

Staff and Vendor Relations

  • Liaise with vendors and business units for seamless transitions between requisition and end user satisfaction.

  • Oversee contracts for mailroom vendor support, interact daily with vendors and business units.

  • Coordinate routine maintenance and cleaning of the fitness center.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mailroom, shipping and receiving, and warehousing operations.

Other Duties

  • Coordinate work orders for mailroom, shipping and receiving, and warehousing requirements.

  • Support company operations and ensure effective communication with business units.

  • Review and provide input on section SOPs, daily activities, required training, and section operations for operational efficiencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Systems & Logistics.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience in shipping and receiving and route selection, one year of warehouse experience, and one year of FEDEX/UPS account management and contract oversight.

  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions or revocations in previous 5 years.

  • Must be bondable

Special Requirements:

  • Adherence to OSHA workplace safety standards.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required to complete major projects.

  • Ability to travel between administrative buildings, branches, and vendor locations.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 75 pounds.

  • Exposure to varying office temperatures and noisy environments while conducting shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations.

    Starting Compensation: $24.75 - $29.70/hr., plus a competitive benefits package.
