Job Description for Facilities Water Treatment Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Mechanical operations of chilled water/condensed water/hot water systems and related structures to maintain proper water treatment.

• Proper maintenance and cleaning/repairs of cooling towers and infrastructure, system document control, monitoring, and responding to all facility reporting alarms and controls and archiving reports and documentation.

• Comply with NY state and NY CREATES requirements candidate should understand all related disciplines such as process, waste, and water treatment, building automation, attention to customer satisfaction and support.

• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

  Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Facilities Water Treatment Technician

• Must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to obtain pesticides license is a must.

• Good communication skills and proficient use of Microsoft Word. Knowledge of outlook and maintenance management programs.

• Previous knowledge and experience in water chemistry and water treatment of closed and open loop systems would be helpful in a positive integration into this role.

• Strong understanding of facilities water treatment systems and related infrastructure.

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Experience at a large educational, medical, or semiconductor manufacturing production facility is preferred.

• Must be able to maintain detailed, accurate records and prepare for necessary reports with skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite software.

Salary Range: $29- $34/ hour
