Description

Our client in Menands, NY, is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to assist with essential AP functions. This role focuses on invoice processing, sales tax application, and check runs while also supporting additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize incoming mail related to accounts payable.

• Code and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Obtain necessary approvals for invoices and expenses.

• Apply sales tax as needed and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Key invoices and receipt of goods into the system.

• Prepare and execute the monthly check run.

• Assist with ordering office supplies and other administrative tasks.

• Perform basic journal entries as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and coding.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Basic understanding of journal entries is a plus.
