Atlantic Testing Laboratories (ATL) is a full service Engineering Support Firm, with over 50 years of experience, consisting of ten offices located throughout New York State. ATL is committed to providing quality service to our clients and promotes a culture that encourages employee safety and satisfaction. ATL is an expanding firm and is in need of qualified candidates for Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians in all of our branches located throughout New York State.Primary Responsibilities:Inspection of welding and bolting operations at both fabrication facilities and on active construction sites throughout New York State. Perform special inspections in accordance with the applicable building code requirements. Perform NDT (MT, PT, UT) in accordance with project specifications. Review project plans and specifications. Review and perform welding procedure and performance qualification testing. Communicate with operations staff, contractors and clients on a daily basis.Position Requirements:Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be willing to routinely travel to other ATL offices, fabrication facilities and project sites. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, work from aerial lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and at high elevations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to work with AWS, ASME & AISC codes as required. One or more of the following certifications is preferred; ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector, ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector, AWS CWI, AWS CAWI, NACE, or ASNT NDT Level II MT and/or UT.Competitive Benefits PackageMedical Dental Vision Life Flexible Spending 401(k)ATL participates in e-Verify.
