Robert Half is partnering with a growing Pharmaceutical client near Middlesex County New Jersey for a diligent Payroll Specialist to join their team. Working in the vibrant pharmaceutical industry, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including payroll processing, vendor payments, and leave administration.

Responsibilities:

• Processing bi-weekly payroll for a significant number of employees

• Handling multi-state payroll operations

• Preparing and running payroll reports for the finance department

• Preparing bills for benefit vendors and ensuring their timely payment

• Handling immigration-related matters, as required

• Liaising with managers for time and attendance approval

• Overseeing leave administration procedures

• Assisting the finance department with annual payroll reporting

• Utilizing Paylocity for payroll operations

• Applying advanced MS Excel skills for reporting purposes.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or a similar position

• Proficiency in Paylocity and similar payroll software

• Experience in multi-state payroll processing

• Experience in processing bi-weekly payroll for 101-500 employees

• Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and vendor payment

• Familiarity with benefits payroll and employment-based immigration

• Ability to process vendor payments efficiently and accurately

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
