About this role:

Verizon is looking for a Senior Manager of PMO in the Marketing Activation organization to support our Business portfolios. The PMO Senior Manager (PM) is responsible for driving the holistic marketing campaign development for multiple projects across this line of business.

The PM is responsible for prioritizing projects, tracking and communicating scope, load balance planning for resources, and communicating status and risk to high-level internal stakeholders. The PM must exhibit outstanding project management and communication skills in achieving the highest possible standards when leading a project across numerous teams and groups. They need a basic knowledge of our business challenges to provide communications solutions and project management execution. The PM will also be expected to participate in creative development meetings to ensure final output is on mark. In addition, the PM will provide project management follow-through and accurate delivery.

What you'll be doing:
  • Prioritize and manage the workflow of multiple projects through a line business.

  • Ability to craft thoughtful and custom projects plans and timelines.

  • Manage and track scope and hours for efficiency reporting across a line of business.

  • Communicate priorities, risk and solutions to senior-level internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with the marketing & strategy leads and Creative Directors to lead and direct teams on brief development, paths forward, problem solving and prioritizations.

  • Encourages a collaborative approach with departmental team members.

  • Partners with outside agencies in managing clients' promotional and marketing efforts.

  • Evaluates creative briefs on complex projects and interprets them for project teams in order to lead communication strategies and implement marketing efforts.

  • Collaborates on creative development and direction with marketing, design, agency and production teams.

  • Provides feedback to project team during internal creative reviews.

  • Presents concepts to clients, obtains feedback and translates that feedback for the project team.

  • Reviews change requests and responds with schedule/cost impacts along with alternatives.

  • Manages expectations with departmental teams; Negotiates timelines and budgets and ensures that all deadlines are maintained.

What we're looking for:
  • Six or more years of project management, program management, or integrated marketing experience.

  • PMO/Intake experience

  • Leverages knowledge and understanding of strategy, business needs, design, creative and production to facilitate effective communication between all departmental teams.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Project management experience required with a deep understanding of creative print, direct marketing campaigns, digital, promotions, ATL, and radio.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Agency or in-house agency experience preferred.

  • PMO/Intake experience required with deep understanding of creative development and production process across print, digital, social, dotcom, tv

  • Strong knowledge of the benefits of the above communication channels, with the ability to match the channel with the communication needs of the business.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, both through idea generation and assessment of ideas generated by others.

  • Team player with excellent relationship building skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Adept at crisis management.

  • Resourceful and solution-oriented.

  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent creative project management skills, highly organized and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Ability to gain trust and effectively manage expectations.

  • Strong knowledge of the creative process as well as design and print/digital production.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $219,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
