* THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTELY BASED WITHIN THE UNITED STATES* Purpose:

You will provide engineering support for the design of substation facilities for voltages up to and including 765 kV for Worley and its Customers as an integral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities. Responsibilities: Independently perform tasks that typically include: Substation physical design including overall engineering and analysis for new switchyards and substations, additions and modifications. Preparation of specifications and provide procurement support. Preparation of engineering drawings including layout and general arrangements for all major equipment and structures required for high voltage switchyards or substation.Drawings include site plans, plan and elevation views, grounding, conduit, lighting, lightning protection and shielding, control building arrangements and details, AC station service, DC systems and Bills of Material. Perform auxiliary electrical power system studies including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, protection and coordination, ampacity, and battery sizing studies. Perform substation grounding calculations and studies, lightning protection and insulation coordination, lighting, bus calculations, transformer and bus sizing calculations, fault calculations, and AC and DC auxiliary system sizing calculations. Perform proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input to scope documents and client presentations. Work in a team-oriented environment with ability to work independently or as part of a group when and as required.
